Is it better to take probiotics on an empty stomach?

I’m trying to heal my gut and associated issues (candida overgrowth) and I’m going to start taking a bunch of probiotics, but I’m not sure whether they’re best to take with food or first thing in the morning?

I think so, as long as they don’t upset your stomach or make you feel nauseous. When your stomach is empty the probiotics can be more effective as they go directly to the gut and they can be more easily absorbed. It could just be personal preference, cos I noticed a difference when I took my probiotics on an empty stomach. Try it out, see how you feel

I take symprove and biokult before I leave the house in the mornings, which is usually an hour or two before I eat. I feel like this gives the probiotics time to work without being crowded out by food. Everyone’s different though, so take the time to figure out what works for you :relaxed:
