Recurrent thrush driving me fucking crazy!

#1

I’ve keep getting thrush, it comes back every month or so and it’s really uncomfortable. Is this normal, has anyone else experienced this before? I’m on the waiting list to see a gynaecologist but I was wondering if there’s anything natural I can do myself as I won’t see the gynae for 6 weeks.

Oh babe I feel you. Thrush is a nightmare. I get it when I am a little run down or stressed, so my main tip is to look after your general health. Eat well, exercise and try and keep on top of stress etc. Tbh I haven’t found any natural remedies that work for me, it’s all about the medical stuff!
Good luck, I’m sure the gynae doc will help.

Hey Noir, there are some things that make it worse like alochol, sugar and gluten. Try and steer clear of these until you see the gynaecologist, especially alcohol. Also maybe get a high quality probiotic like biokult. Hope it gets better soon :two_hearts:

Hey Noir @SophieG is right, circumstances can increase your chances of getting thrush; antibiotics is one of them, wearing tight clothing is another and gut health has a huge impact on recurrent thrush. You’re doing the right thing, your gynaecologist will be best placed to help you. In the meantime our resident gynaecologist @Dr.HANX_Co-founder probably has some advice for you :woman_health_worker:t3:

Hey @Noir, the girls on here are absolutely correct. Certain things such as lots of antibiotics can trigger thrush. It is worth seeing your doctor to be properly examined, then you can rule out any other infections and sometimes you may be prescribed a longer course of treatment if thrush is recurrent.@Emma_HANX’s tips are also great, in terms of natural ways to manage things until you see a specialist.
Good luck!
