I’ve just been diagnosed with an STI and I’m not sure how to tell my new partner- any advice please?

Hey @Ella this is such a tricky one but super important and common. I’ve had to do the same with a previous partner, and I think the best way is just being honest and open. It’s never going to be easy, but my boyfriend at the time really appreciated me telling him and said it showed I cared about my body and his.
You can also ask your sexual health clinic to tell other partners anonymously if you’d prefer not tell certain sexual partners yourself.
The main thing is to stop the STIs spreading further, which would happen if you don’t say anything at all, as well as potentially harming people.
